Life...

In one of my classes this week we had an internship panel.  Former interns for the Marriott school came and talked to us about what to expect and look for in an internship.  As I was sitting there listening to them I realized my grown up life is now.  I need to start now, yesterday would have probably been a better time to start but now will work.  As they were talking to us, I realized the importance of networking and really becoming acquainted with all different kinds of people.  It is oftentimes through those people who we would not originally connect with, that we find those rare opportunities. This is my new goal, to put myself out there.  To get to know and become acquainted with those people who I wouldn't first think of.

  1. Putting yourself in new situations with new people is a hard thing to do. And having a goal to seek out these opportunities is great. We all come from different backgrounds and have had different experiences, which means that we can learn so much from others. This new learning may even come when we aren't expecting it. Putting myself out there can be very difficult for me to do, and I admire your goal to do it!
